Take Control of Your Finances with Free 1-on-1 Coaching

Project Prosper offers free, personalized financial coaching for immigrants and refugees in the Tampa Bay area. You’ll work one-on-one with a friendly volunteer coach who will help you better understand the U.S. financial system and plan for your future.

What Can Coaching Help With?

Your coach can guide you through:

  • Building or repairing your credit
  • Creating a budget and saving money
  • Buying a car or a home
  • Planning for retirement
  • Choosing education or career options
  • Finding the right community resources
  • And more!

How It Works

  • Coaching is free and available even if you’re not part of our Loan Program or Financial Literacy classes.
  • You’ll meet with your coach at least once a month for about one hour (online or in person).
  • You choose the topics you want to focus on.
  • There is no limit to how many sessions you can have.

Our goal is to give you the tools and confidence to make strong financial choices—on your terms, at your pace.

Who Can Use This Service?

  • Immigrants and refugees living in:
    • Pinellas County
    • Hillsborough County
    • Pasco County
    • Manatee County
    • Sarasota County
  • No prior experience required—just a desire to learn and grow.

Language Options

Coaches speak English, Spanish, and we offer interpreters as needed.
