Client Stories – Financial Literacy Program

Clients in the Financial Literacy Program come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Some clients have never used the American financial system, while others have used it for years. In either case, clients always report learning from Project Prosper’s programming. Here are a few comments that clients have made when asked what they learned in Project Prosper’s Financial Literacy Program:

I learned about all kinds of loans – student loans, mortgages, and car loans. I also learned what a loan shark is and how to avoid taking a loan from one.”

I learned something important about credit cards – there is something called fine print. It is all of the details of how that credit card works. I learned it is important to read the fine print.”
